Mt. Airy IWLA Gun Club

The Mt. Airy GunClub is an IWLA afiliated Club located northwest of Mt. Airy Maryland on over 100 acres of jentle rolling land.  The Club has a fully functional club house with 6 trap ranges, 2 skeet ranges, a 100yd small caliber range and a 25, 50 100, 200 and 300 yd rifle ranges and pistol range.  There is also an Archery range and picnic area.  The Club meets the last Monday night of the month at 7:30PM.  For more iformation  go to their website at www.mtairyiwla.org​​

This IWLA Chapter, IWLA# 1, was establishe in 1923.  The Frederick Chapter is big in wildlife conservation and the shooting sports with both pistol and rifle ranges,and an archery range. is located in Thurmont, Maryland along the Monocacy River.  It is a multi-disciplined facility that focuses on the shooting and archery sports.  It has a spacious clubhouse, bathrooms and showers, camper hookups and swimimng pool.  There is also a boat ramp to the Monocacy River.  For more information about our club and club events,please go to our website at ....

Cold Deer Hunting and Fishing Club

This is a small club estabished in 1939 dedicated to wildlife conservation.  Since its inception, Cold Deer has provideda location for members to hold dinners and social events.  The two room clubhouse was built by the members ad includes a covered 50 yard  shooting range.  For more information to to their website at:

Potomac Valley Fly Fishers
You don't have to know how to fly fish, just have the enthusiasm. We are a group who get together and talk about fly fishing and plan trips. Experience is not necessary. It's the enjoyment of the outdoors, conservation and fishing. Our meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 and last approximately an hour and a half.
Brotherhood of the Jungle Cock
Conservation, reading the water, stream side instruction, entomology, terminal tackle, equipment maintenance, knots, fly tying, rod building and net making are some of the classes being taught.
Attendance is by invitation only and a man can only attend when he sponsors a boy.  As many as 475 men and boys are able to attend the Campfire weekend.
The Brotherhood of the Jungle Cock has grown.  Maryland is the parent chapter, with offspring chapters in Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.




Cresap Rifle Club​​
.... is a non-profit, member maintained, outdoor handgun and rifle range located in Frederick Maryland. The club was established in 1928 to help promote the shooting sport through the education of young shooters. The range is open to the public during specific weekend hours. Target changes are performed once an hour, on the hour.

Catoctin Fish and Game Protective Assoc.
Our club is dedicated to environmental conservation, wildlife conservation, as well as the continuing education of fishing, and hunting.  We are a small but diverse group of people, interested in all types of outdoor activities.  Our members provide classes for the general public in hunter safety, firearms training for women, fly fishing, fly tying, and building fishing rods.  We have a yearly fishing rodeo for youngsters that is open to the public.  Our club also provides members a safe environment for archery, rifle, pistol, and trap shooting.  Guests may shoot on the rifle/pistol range only when sponsored and escorted by a club member in good standing.  Weekly trap shoots are open to the public.  Our members are involved in conservation projects in Frederick, and Washington counties.  Many of our members support national conservation organizations.  Our club also supports various community educational, and recreational proje

Tuscarora Archers
is an archery sports only facility located in Frederick County.  It has both indoor and outdoor ranges with standard and 3-D targets.  Tuscarora Archers is the home for the highly awarded JOAD archery team that has placed high in local as well as national competitions.  For more information about this outstanding club, go to ....

Mt. Airy Sharpshooters
The Mt. Airy Sharpshooters is a youth trap shooting program that participates in the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP).  The SCTP is, by design, a youth development program for providing school-aged youth with a positive experience in the shooting sports.  The program is focused on instilling in young athletes a set of personal values and character traits for fair play, compassionate understanding, teamwork, individual responsibility, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and personal commitment – qualities that will serve them well in sports, but more importantly, serve them throughout their lives.

Monacacy Pistol Club
MPC is a place for handgun shooters to practice and improve their skills in friendly competions.  We are open to members and their guests only on a daily basis.  WE have four different ranges: Bullseye, Pins, Steel and Multipurpose Ranges.  While we have weekly matches, the majority of our members just enjoy showing up and practicing at their own pace.  For typs of matches and general information, go to :

Monocacy Valley Chapter NWTF
The Monocacy Valley Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is a group of local sportsmen, women and youth who care deeply about our natural resources and share the values of family. fellowship and adventure. Last year we celebrated a special milestone- our 25th Anniversary - and now we are moving forward with renewed commitment and enthusiasm.
